 Todd Iverson

Education: Graduate of the University of Portland
Occupation: Longshoreman at the Port of Tacoma
Personal Information: Married. Enjoys fishing, kayaking and traveling. Todd is also co-founder of America In Solidarity, a
rights group based in Tacoma.




 Kurt Grimmer

Education: BA Finance & Accounting, University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA
Professional Experience: 30 years of experience in the financial services industry; Bank Auditor; Bank Controller; Real Estate
Financing and Management; Financial Advisor
Community Service: Peninsula Athletic Association - Board of Commissioners; Coach and recreation supervisor for 25 years
with the Peninsula Athletic Association
Personal Information: 30-year resident of Gig Harbor. With my wife, Diane, we raised three children through local schools and
recreation programs. We engage in outdoor activities around the Peninsula and enjoy the many natural and cultural amenities
offered in our community.

Education: Gig Harbor High School, Washington State University, Associate of Technical Arts, Bates Technical College 
Professional Experience: Assistant Fire Chief - Gig Harbor Fire and Medic One
Personal Information: I grew up on Wollochet Bay, where I still live.  Attended our Peninsula Schools from elementary through
graduation from GHHS.  I married my high school sweetheart in 1985 and we have one son.  I have enjoyed the opportunity
to grow up, live and work in the Gig Harbor community.  I enjoy many sports and activities.  You may see me running on the
trails at McCormick Forest Park or Harbor Family Park.  I also enjoy mountain biking, snow skiing, fishing, sailing or just being
on the water, 
in the mountains or outside.  I still play some basketball and have enjoyed playing and coaching many sports
over the years.

 Maryellen (Missy) Hill

Education: Master's in Public Administration, University of Washington, Seattle, WA; Bachelors of Arts, University of Washington, Tacoma, WA
Professional Experience: 20 year human services professional specializing in creating and managing employment and training
programs for military, youth at risk, incarcerated and long term unemployed; nonprofit management, board development
and staffing; program management, human resources, grant writing and partnership development

Community Service: USA Canoe and Kayak Sprint Events Committee Chair, certified USA Sprint Kayak official, former
Board Secretary of the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kayak Team and Vice President of the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation

Personal Information: My husband, daughter and I relocated to Gig Harbor 25 years ago; we enjoy living in the Pacific Northwest
and experiencing its beauty especially the greater Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula region.



Amanda Babich

Education: Central Washington University, Ellensburg, WA
Professional Experience: Over a decade of experience in Parks & Recreation, non-profit programming, youth advocacy, outdoor experiential education,
and university intramural sports management
Personal Information: I am a mother of three and married to a lifelong Gig Harbor resident.  My husband and I own and operate
several commercial fishing vessels based here in Gig Harbor and enjoy being active community members both in our businesses and our family.

Meetings of the PenMet Parks Board of Commissioners are generally scheduled for the first and third
Mondays of each month at 6:15 p.m. and are held at the Sehmel Homestead Park
Volunteer Vern Pavilion, located at 10123 78th Ave NW in Gig Harbor. Occasionally holidays,
the anticipation of greater public participation or special presentations may make it necessary
to hold meetings at different dates, times or locations. Please check this site for such changes,
cancellations, and also for announcements of Special Meetings.

A five member Board of Park Commissioners governs the Peninsula Metropolitan Park District
(PenMet Parks) and is the policy determining body for the District.
