The Peninsula
Metropolitan Park District (PenMet Parks) was created in May of 2004 by a
majority vote of Peninsula residents. The District's mission is "to
enhance the quality of life on the Gig Harbor Peninsula by providing park and
recreational opportunities for all of its citizens". This mission is only
accomplished by working with you and others.

A camera was recently found in one of our parks. Owners
wishing to claim their lost items should call our office for
identification. All items will be stored for 30 days.

District Announces
PEG Grant
The PenMet Parks
Board of Park Commissioners created a $65,000 matching grant program to help
enhance Gig Harbor Peninsula area parks. The program is designed to encourage
and assist individuals, businesses, and community groups interested in expanding
park and recreation opportunities, and improving the quality of life on the
peninsula.
